    Lanolin is obtained by refining wool fat. Due to its emollient andemulsive properties, as well as having low chemical reactivity, it iswidely used in cosmetics and pharmaceutical preparations. In hairpreparations it is used to prevent dandruff, dryness and fragility; itreplaces the natural lipids of the skin. It has an effectiveperformance in moisturizing preparations. It is also used ascrystallization inhibitor in lipsticks, as super fatting agent forsoaps, etc.
