ISOSTEARYL NEOPENTANOATE is a non-greasy, long chain ester exhibitingfast absorbency and substantive emolliency. It has an exceptionallylow cloud point and therefore aids as a cloud point depressant, anemulsion stabilizer, and in freeze-thaw stability. Is a very mildemollient with a low level of skin and eye irritation as compared toother emollients such as isopropyl myristate. It is thereforerecommended for use in superior skin care products, particularly whenapplied in the vicinity of the eyes. It can also be used as a pigmentbinder in matte finish makeup or to add a creamy feel to powders.
