Spiga Nord is specialized in the manufacture of high purity vegetable origin GMO-free refined Glycerol and pure vegetable refined kosher and halal GMO-free Polyglycerols. The Company manufactures its finished products in the plant of Carasco, located 35 km from the city of Genoa (Italy) and can supply the products worldwide.
The company was founded in 1957 and a new plant was built in 1974. In recent years the company has made a great effort in the research and exploitation of alternative and renewable energy sources and has also completed the installation of a photovoltaic system in 2011 and a cogeneration boiler in 2020.
All the phases related to manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and warehousing take place in the factory in Carasco so that the overall quality of the supply remains constant over time.
All products are characterized by high chemical and microbiological purity and the absence of dangerous substances for humans. Furthermore, by virtue of their vegetable origin, Spiga Nord products can be used in formulations in which a 100% natural final product is required.
Spiga Nord manufactures glycerol which is suitable to be used in high-standard markets such as cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals.
