The solid rectified concentrated must is a technological innovation to enrich wine with sugar obtained from grape juice which is available in crystalline and non-liquid form.
The production of grape sugars in crystalline form guarantees greater purity and shelf life than those in liquid form.
It can therefore be applied in all oenological practices (enrichment, sweetening, sparkling winemaking) with evident advantages in terms of reducing the risks deriving from contaminating, diluting and flavoring factors. This enrichment process can help producers who encountered problems with grapes ripening due to the weather conditions.
Because of COVID-19, the demand is stronger than usual for cleaning and disinfection purposes, while the demand for the automotive, fine fragrance and flavour (chewing gum, candies, ..) industries is lower compared to the previous years. Due to lockdown, people are traveling much less leading to a weaker demand for perfumes and travel-related food products.
Although we do not expect prices to skyrocket like in 2016-2017, we recommend to regularly keep an eye on the market.
